How do closets work?

Official text only says you can hide in closets. It does not list a button prompt, animation, or how long a mascot loses interest.

Several walkthroughs go one step further for Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica: when one is near, hide in a closet or crawl the vents. They describe hiding as slowing a hunter, not finishing the night. The animatronics still hunt by their own rules, which the description does not spell out.

How do vents work?

How do barricaded doors work?

Mascots kick barricaded doors in, so a chair or block buys time, not a sealed room. Two player guides agree barricades slow pursuers until the door breaks.

When is Foxy different?
